ELECTRONIC ARTWORK SPECIFICATIONS
The Hills Echo operates in both Macintosh and Windows environments and any files supplied must conform to the following specifications.

All advertisements must be accompanied by a proof for checking and supplied on either CD, Zip 100 disks or emailed as a PDF file.
ALL ARTWORK SUPPLIED FOR ADVERTISEMENTS MUST BE FORMATTED TO EXACT SIZE COMPATIBLE FILE FORMATS.

MACINTOSH

• Indesign
• Freehand 9
• Photoshop 5

Please make sure that all fonts and linked images are supplied or turned to curves.

PC

We operate in a Windows and Macintosh environment and will only accept the following file formats.
• Illustrator: export as an ai file with fonts converted to paths
• Microsoft Word: is not compatible with our prepress requirements and may only be used as a layout guide and supply text. Your advertisement will have to be reset.

Publisher Files not accepted under any circumstances.

DIGITAL IMAGES

May be supplied as tiff, eps or jpeg formats.
• Full Colour Images - Should be supplied in CMYK format at 300dpi minimum, when placed in file at 100% scale.
• Black & White Images - Should be supplied in Greyscale format at a minimum of 300dpi when placed in file at 100%Failure to supply pictures at the specified resolution will result in poor quality reproduction.

PDF FILES: (Press ready PDFs only)

Please convert all fonts to curves. Colour pictures must be in CMYK format or they will reproduce in greyscale.
