Christmas Greetings From The Echo

What a sensational year it has been for The Hills Echo!

It has been a privilege to bring you the latest community news, stories and events each month.

Over 2017 we have seen The Echo grow from strength to strength within our wonderful community. With the rise in digital craze I am delighted that our print publication is continuing to grow. We added the distribution area of Samford, the print run increased to 14,400 per month to keep up with demand, new distribution points in childcare centres and local businesses plus magazine stands have also popped up around the local area. What’s more, we have also sold out of advertising space in four issues this year!

To keep up with the times The Echo’s website is currently being redesigned to cope with the increased traffic and there will be more functionality for the user with a Business Directory, a What’s On calendar, jobs board, digital advertising space and much more! The new site will be fully completed in the upcoming weeks so keep an eye out for it! www.hillsecho.com

In addition, we also have a monthly Enewsletter that is sent to over 3,000 subscribers (and this number is growing rapidly!).

I would like to extend a huge thank you to our loyal Echo advertising family who have continued to support our local community publication both in print and online. Without our advertisers we simply could not bring this community publication to your letterbox each month.

I would also like to thank the numerous community groups, sports clubs and residents for their submissions throughout the year that provide fabulous content.

I am extremely appreciative of the wonderful team behind me at The Echo; Lyn Fryer who relentlessly proof reads The Echo every month, Roger Fryer for his IT support, Kristy Beard and Kerri Arnold who hit the streets come rain, hail or shine to deliver The Echo to all businesses and of course my letterbox contractors. Not forgetting my supportive and loving family for their help!

Finally I would like to thank YOU, our loyal readers, who continue to pick up The Echo and follow us each month. Keep reading in 2018 as we have so much in store!
Wishing everyone a very merry Christmas and prosperous New Year.
