Pack your picnic basket, grab your favourite teddy and join grandma and grandpa for a bear-y special event this National Grandparents Day with the first ever Teddy Bears’ Picnic at George Willmore Park, Ferny Hills.
In celebration of grandparents everywhere, Moreton Bay Regional Council and Division 10 Councillor Matt Constance will host the free picnic on Sunday, October 29 with plenty of live entertainment, activities and teddy bear-themed fun for the whole family.
“Young ones, their grandparents, parents, carers and teddies are in for a treat with stage shows, face painting and animal farms all kicking off from 9am,” Cr Constance said.
“Hungry tummies will also have plenty to keep them satisfied with a BBQ brekky raising funds for the local SES, plus cupcakes, coffee and heaps of other sweet treats.
“Simply bring a picnic blanket, your loved ones and special teddies, and show your grandparents just how much you love them with a morning of great entertainment that will keep everyone entertained.
“I look forward to welcoming families and their teddies to the first Teddy Bears’ Picnic at George Willmore Park.”
Teddy Bears’ Picnic is proudly presented by Moreton Bay Regional Council and supported by Cr Matt Constance. It will run from 9am to 12pm on Sunday, October 29 at George Willmore Park, Ferny Way, Ferny Hills.
